Datasheet
The shielded forensic radiography system Fobos XRS is a specialized imaging technology used in the field of forensic science. This system is designed to capture high-quality X-ray images of objects or bodies that may be associated with a crime scene.
The system consists of a shielded room, x-ray generator, a digital imaging detector, and a computer workstation for image processing and analysis. The shielded enclosure is essential for safety, as it contains the X-ray radiation within the system and protects users from unnecessary exposure.
The system’s digital imaging detector enables real-time image capture and immediate viewing, enhancing the efficiency of forensic examinations. The computer workstation provides powerful image processing tools for analysis, such as zoom, enhancement, measurements, annotations.
Overall, the shielded forensic radiography system is a vital tool in the arsenal of forensic scientists, enabling them to uncover hidden evidence and contribute to the investigation and resolution of criminal cases.
Embedded software
The FOBOS scanner is built on an intuitive design, easy-to-operate touch screen and advanced PACS data management software package. This system allows intuitive control of the scanner and provides advanced image editing through its PACS system.
Adjustable X-ray cart
The adjustable FOBOS x-ray cart is designed with up to 290 kg (650 lbs) capacity. The significant width of the x-ray cart helps operators deal with larger size bodies. FOBOS XR X-ray tabletop is made of perfectly translucent carbon-fiber material with no artifacts visible on the images. The cart is equipped with 120 mm height adjustment mechanism and convenient wheels for body transportation.
Special Features:
- Use FOBOS for your medical, forensic and law enforcement needs to examine bodies up to 295 kg / 650 lbs. With a high penetration capability, you can use this device for examination of road traffic accidents and suicide cases, as well as homicide, drowning or other difficult situations. Penetration capability by Al – min. 12″, by H2O – 32″
- Critical components are designed to have high levels of reliability, minimizing downtime and consequently increasing ROI.
- The adjustable table provides an additional advantage for loading bodies from carts
- Design allows getting full-body images without moving or contacting the body directly
- Automatic moving parts, such as linear drive and C-arm, enable more effective image capture than conventional C-arm

Technologies
In 2019, Linev Group introduced the forensic body scanner FOBOS XR to the market, which is a unique technical solution for forensic pathologists based on patented x-ray scanning technology.
The scanner allows specialists to use the method of non-invasive autopsy and examination of the human body, including internal organs, and decide whether it is necessary to dissect the body in each case, as well as to ascertain the cause of death.
FOBOS XR is a stationary diagnostic digital radiology forensic system. The system is designed to acquire whole-body digital X-ray images of bone structures and soft tissues. The system allows to capture of both AP and lateral scans. FOBOS is a task-oriented system designed to be used in morgues and forensic centers.
