Forensic X-ray for Morgues & Forensic Centers
FOBOS XR (Forensic Body Scanner) is a stationary diagnostic digital radiology forensic system and the ideal solution for morgues and forensic centers. Several radiological techniques, including conventional radiography, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging, are utilized in forensic imaging, as well as 3D surface scanning. As part of a minimally invasive strategy, computed tomography can be utilized in conjunction with image-guided sampling or post-mortem angiography, which are less invasive. The system is designed to acquire whole-body (Forensic) digital X-ray images of bone structures and soft tissues. The system allows capturing both AP and lateral scans (scans under any angles from 0 to 90° would be an additional option).
Digital radiography (DR) is the latest and most advanced type of X-ray imaging system. In DR systems, X-rays are passed through a material and onto an electronic detector, which converts the X-rays into a digital signal that can be displayed on a computer screen. The main advantage of DR systems is that they produce high-quality images very quickly, and the images can be easily stored, transmitted, and manipulated. The main disadvantage of DR systems is that they are the most expensive type of X-ray imaging system.
FOBOS XR (Forensic Whole-body Digital X-ray Scanner) is a task-oriented system designed to be used in morgues and forensic centers. High penetration capability due to the high innovation critical components (X-ray generator and detector) makes it possible to examine bodies up to 340 kg / 750 lbs. Penetration capability by Al – min. 12″, by H2O – 32″. Automatic moving parts, such as linear drive and C-arm, enable more effective image capture than conventional C-arm. The FOBOS XR provides detailed and high-resolution X-ray images of bodies for non-invasive forensic pathology. The scanner comes with PACS data management software package, which allows intuitive control of the system and provides advanced image editing.
